Hi everyone, it’s been a while since I posted a project, not enough hours in the day you know lol! So I got up a seven this morning to have it posted before i brought Philip to playschool. But you know yourself..the best laid plans and all that!!! This is how my morning went………
My hubbie had left to do the rounds on our farm, when the tractor broke down on a bad corner! I got Philip up out of bed, we put on our rescue helmets and rescued his daddy (with our van and a tow rope), all before breakfast! Philip thought it was a great adventure, Mammy and Daddy were not so enthuasiastic though lol!
So now, Philip is in playschool, Mike (and tractor) are farming and I am having a cup of coffee typing this post ..Happy Days!
I was in Limerick last Tuesday night with a lovely group of crafty ladies, where we played with some mount board, distress markers, distress inks, water and stamps…A perfect combination, this is one of the creations (courtesy of Orla from Cartai Deasa)
The ladies also went home with a little goodie bag with some gorgeous Prima products from the Rondelle collection as well as some co-ordinating Bazzill cardstock. Here is what I did with my little pack (instructions underneath)
I first cut the cream card to 5 1/2 x 11 inches and folded it in half to give you a 5.5 inch square card. I cut three matt layers:- one patterned paper to 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches, the pink card to 5×5 and one other patterned paper to 4 3/4 inches.
The darker paper (51/4×51/4inch) i matted to the cream card base. The other patterned paper I matted to the pink card. I then wrapped the ribbon around the pink card, knotting in the velvet bauble. I twisted the wire ends of the flowers around the end of a small paint brush. I glued the flowers and leaf in place using glossy accents. Using 3-D foam pads, I layered the pink mat onto the card base. I finished with a hand written sentiment (‘Thank You’ in Irish), say it in crystals bling and some gold stickles. I am definately feeling Christmassy!!!
The second card I made with the left over bits of card, paper and ribbon. I just added them to a black card base that i collaged some newspaper strips that I liked ( i tore them out of the Limerick Evening Herald 🙂 )
These were distress free projects, so i came away with relatively clean hands and a clean craft sheet…shock horror!
