Graphic 45 Scrapbook Page :-)

Canon Camera July 2014 928

It’s been ages since I have blogged…I honestly don’t know where the time goes, the weeks just roll into one another.  For those who hadn’t heard, I broke my ankle playing cops and robbers with my 6 year old son and his his young friends :-(, (my own fault, running in Fit Flops…not a good idea)

Walked on it for a week before I realised that I might have a broken bone, So I have been in plaster for the last few weeks, can’t drive, can’t walk, eating all around me and going stir crazy!!!

However, the up side to this is that I am getting to spend a lot of time tweaking our new website (would love your feedback, so check it out here ) and crafting 🙂 🙂

It made me realise that I am a little ‘rusty’ lol!  But I have managed a lovely scrapbook page using Graphic 45 Botanical Tea collection.  I loved this the minute it came out and I knew what I wanted to do with it straight away 🙂

My Aunt Mary turned 80 in June and we had a family birthday party for her last Saturday.  For as long as I remember she loved working with her hands..her speciality was making jams and chutneys (I can still taste them) from her own produce, rhubarb, gooseberries, tomatoes etc.

We are supposed to look alike, so she gave me a picture that she loved, it was a formal one of her when she turned 18. So I created a scrapbook layout using a copy of the photo she gave me, papers, banners and the flower die cut pack from the Botanical Tea collection, a Prima resin Frame and some canvas.

I took a short video of the finished layout (which I framed in a 12″ x 12″ Prima Wooden Frame) and have some photos also. Leave a comment and let me know if you like it, Crafty Hugs, Kate xx

Hi everyone,

We are taking the plunge and are exhibiting at the Knit and Stitch Show in the RDS in Dublin 1st – 4th November this year!  Not thinking too hard on it as I might start to panic!! Aghhhh!

But we need your help…We need Cards, Lots and Lots and Lots of Cards!!

Basically, we want to flood The Create with Kate stand with all the gorgeous cards that all you crafters are creating all around the World.  So we decided to do a mini design team call!

Each entry will be placed in the draw, the winner to be picked at random by my four year old son and the prize is a €30 Hamper of Papercrafting goodies from our Create with Kate store (winner’s choice!).  If we get enough entries, we might even do a second draw (Wahoo!!)

What you have to do:

1) Create a card using at least one product from Stampendous, Stampers Anonymous, Ranger, Tim Holtz, Dylusions, Sizzix, Spellbinders, Graphic 45, Prima Marketing, American Crafts or Crate Paper (some of the brands we stock 🙂

2) Post a link to this blog post on your blog/facebook page

2) Post us your entry / entries to Kate Walsh, Treanlaur, Tourmakeady, Claremorris, Co. Mayo, Ireland to be with us by Monday October 29th as the draw will take place on Tuesday October 30th at 9am GMT.  NB. INCLUDE YOUR NAME, ADDRESS AND EMAIL WITH YOUR ENTRY

Ps. We were away at a wedding yesterday and my feet aren’t the only thing killing me today, never again lol!!

Check out these Mini Album’s!

Greetings to all you bloggers out there from a sunny west coast of Ireland! 🙂 (over my house anyway lol!)

My apologies for not blogging lately but our house has been under a tummy bug attack for the last two weeks, so I havn’t had much time (or energy) to do the things I love.  But Yippee! Entire household is back to normal and school starts next week, so expect a few blog posts and some crafing tips!

To whet your appetite, the very talented Anne Mullan created these two beautiful albums that she kindly allowed me to share with you in these you tube videos, so check them out!

And for those of you who are attending Finnabair’s workshop in Newbridge this weekend, I am all packed (well nearly packed lol!) and am really looking forward to getting to meet you all and to share Anna’s creativity

Roll on Saturday Yahoo!!

Keep creating

Sneak Peak!!

Hi Girls, as promised here is a sneak peak of the mini album that we will be making as one of the projects on July 1st, (bling, flowers and embellies to be added yet hint, Prima and Tim!!)

It is a 6×6 mini album that you will be making from scratch but don’t worry all the pages will be precut so you can concentrate on the construction method (how cool is that!).  This is a great chunky album for your summer pics with 14 pages in all (including covers) so you will have plenty of room to add your 4×6 photos and journaling.

Remember you will also be making a co-ordinating slider box to store your album in and it will look fabulous on any shelf.  This would also make a fabulous gift if you can bear to part with it (i know i won’t lol!).  So book your kit here

Happy Crafting and chat tomorrow
