Catching Up!

Hi all,

Sorry I haven’t blogged in a while, we’ve had a busy few weeks with new product arriving, the Craftschool event  in Waterford, not to mention new calves, sick son, communions, christenings and confirmations!

Although it didn’t get the numbers, the Craftschool in Waterford was fabulous!!.  Hats off to Midi and helpers for organising a fantastic venue 🙂

The classrooms were big and bright with lots of space (perfect for classes lol!).  The ‘shopping room’ had vaulted oak beam ceilings with fab handmade bunting hung around.  As well as the shops there was also a crafting table where some of the products we demo’d were;- Tim’s new distress paints, Bert, Flossie and Annie the new Dylusions stencils, as well as new sizzix dies and the Woodware crafty edger!

As well as classes in card making, scrapbooking, altered art and mixed media there were classes in knitting, quilting, basket weaving and sugarcraft / cake decorating (which looked too good to eat..). Carol Grogan from Crafty Cutting and Marian from Crafty Bride were also there as well as sampler fabric and wool shops.

There was a huge choice of homemade goodies to help keep the creative juices topped up, i personally sampled the chocolate biscuit cake, the lemon drizzle cake, the coffee and walnut cake, the strawberry cheesecake, the coffee cupcakes; but missed the trifle, the pavlova, the bailey’s cheesecake, the crumble, four other types of cupcakes, apple pie, chocolate cake, chocolate brownies and at least two others I can’t think of……needless to say, it was all yummy!!!

Already drooling over what will be there next year 🙂

Here are photos and links to some of the fab classes that were taught over the weekend by the fabulous trio Felicia Dwyer, Karen Matthews and Betty Cumiskey.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and happy Crafting
