Day 7 of Tim’s 12 tags of Christmas!

Hello Again!

I have officially joined the mayhem that is Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas (55,000 views on day 1).  It has taken me this long to get re-organised after a fab day with fab people last Sunday!

When I saw todays tag, I realised I had to do it as my friend Anne had already given me the Stamped Sentiment

So here’s my version for Day 7:

I swiped my tag in Cosmic Shimmer sprays (Red Firefly and Meadow Lush) and dried it with my heat gun.  I heated a magic foam block and pushed a crumpled paper bag into it.  I inked it with Distress ink – Black Soot and stamped my tag until i got the look I wanted.

I had run out of Kraft Glassine and I don’t have the holly die so I improvised.  I swiped the crumbled paper bag in Meadow lush and stuck it to card stock once dry.  I drew some holly leaves and branches on the back and cut them out. The lace ribbon was strips cut from an old lace curtain. I used a recycled button and a decorative pin from Creative Expressions and threaded some burgandy ribbon, which I had pulled at the end to gather it.  I assembled the bits together (including Anne’s stamped sentiment):

‘Deck the Halls’; I had day 7 tag!!
