Happy Monday Everyone!
And what a fab one! After all the rain we have had lately it’s great to finally wake up to a crisp fresh Autumn/Fall morning.
It’s the perfect day to Launch our ‘Create with Kate Challenge Spot’ and we are going to start with “a Scandanavian Christmas…..it’s all about red and white!”
I was inspired recently by the simple style, so I just had to create a simple red and white card. This was much more difficult than I thought; as believe it or not it’s hard to refrain from adding more; e.g. a flower, more text, some bling. So keeping it simple was a challenge!
SO The Challenge; here’s how it works:
You can enter a card, scrapbook lo, altered item or any other papercraft item, the only rule is the colour scheme has to be predominately red and white and the design simple! It must be a new post that you link back to this post (and remember link to the post where your entry is and not your blog home page). You have until midnight (GMT) Sunday 27th November, and the challenge winner will be announced on Monday next!
Good luck and remember a “Create with Kate” goodie bag is up for grabs.
The second part of this post, as hinted in the title, involves a sneak peak of the Mini Class that the lovely Anne is giving at the ‘Create with Kate Christmas Jamboree’.
Anne is going to teach us a technique she discovered to make fabulous flexible paper, that has similar characteristics to grunge paper enabling you to paper shape away to your hearts content. You will use this gorgeous paper to make fantastic seasonal flowers that you can convert into broaches, christmas decor or papercraft toppers! The image below will give you an idea without giving the game away completely.. these are the papers we will be using ..Prima North Country! Love Love Love.
Before I sign off, I want to remind everyone that Crafting Ireland magazine have a fabulous online mini album class that you can watch here , thanks again Nicloe and Timi for a very enjoyable tv experience!
Happy Crafting xxKate
