Some Colour on a Rainy Day!

Hi all,

I have been very lax this week when it came to blogging, I just had a busy week with my main job (family), my day job (weddings) and my part time job (me – in the form of a very overdue clinic appointment!).  So please forgive!  I also haven’t been able to do any crafting and if I didn’t have my Thursday Girl’s today I think I would have got the crafting DT’s!! We played with distress inks and made some easel cards; Happy Days!!!

Anyway, I still need some colour in this post, so I have cheated a little and uploaded a pic of a card I made a couple of months ago.  It’s another one from my ‘Mine, All Mine’ shelf!  (For those who missed an earlier post – that’s my shelf with all my crafty makes that I can’t part with!)  I had such fun making this card and as usual it turned out completely different to my starting plan.  I had started off with an A5 black card base that I heat-embossed the birthday background in white and completely messed it up.  Waste not want not; I cut out the bit I could use and hey presto I ended up creating this card that I adored then, and still do now, so it’s back on my ‘Mine, All Mine’ shelf!  The stamps are dimension fourth (face) and blonde moments (flower – which I cut out) and the papers are basic grey.  I punched out some smaller flowers and used the waste as a stencil to add dimension to the foreground.  I Sooo… want to go to Hawaii!!!     I am going to give this to myself for my birthday this Christmas (I wonder would a ticket to Hawaii be out of the question.. LOL!!!)

I have entered it into the following challenges:

1) http://mytimetocraftchallenge.blogspot.com/  –  “Dies or Punches”

Happy crafting, keep smiling and thanks for stopping by,
